How pricing works. 1 credit = 1 page; redrawing text on artwork is 1 credit per area.
One credit per page
Translating a page costs one credit. The app shows the cost before a volume starts, and the balance you will have afterwards.
Redrawing text on artwork
Text inside speech bubbles is cleaned on your computer at no extra cost. Text drawn directly on the artwork (captions over a background, signs) is removed by an image model that redraws the art underneath, and that costs one credit per area. Most pages have none. The cost estimate before a volume starts includes the areas that need a redraw.
Buying credits
Credits come in packs on the pricing page. There is no subscription, and credits never expire. New accounts get free pages to try Serifu.
Refunding a purchase
Within 14 days of buying a pack, you can get a full refund if none of its credits have been used. Email support@serifu.net with your order number. See the Terms.
Refunds for failed pages and redraws
Credits are reserved when a page starts and only used when it finishes. If a page fails, its credit is returned automatically. The same goes for a redraw that fails.
Re-translating is free
Re-translating a line on a page within 24 hours of translating it costs nothing. Each redraw, including a retry, costs one credit.
