Retouch flagged areas

What the retouch flag means and how to fix it.

Text drawn directly on artwork, such as captions over a background, is removed by an image model that redraws the art underneath. Occasionally the redraw fails or leaves a visible edge. When that happens, Serifu keeps the original text in place and marks the page 1 area to retouch.

Fix it

  1. Open the page in the editor. Flagged areas are outlined.
  2. Click Redraw to try again (1 credit; refunded if it fails again), or
  3. Leave the original lettering and place your translation next to it.
